After Sibiu, this spring an interactive exhibition The Secrets of Ancient Egypt will reach Brasov, where it will be able to be visited starting from April 15, at the Weavers' Bastion within the County History Museum.
The exhibition is the first in the series History Hackers - an original Emagic concept, developed in partnership with the Faculty of History of the University of Bucharest, which aims to bring to the attention of the little history their meaning, fascinating and always surprising.
One of the most fascinating periods of history, Ancient Egypt, will reveal its secrets in front of the Brazilian public in an extremely special setting: the first interactive exhibition organized in Brasov, part of the National History Hackers project.
The exhibition is dedicated to children with ages between 6 and 14 years and will include presentations and explanations of moments, characters and essential customs of the time, combining historical facts rendered in the meaning of children, with elements of butaphors, but also interactive workshops for educational purposes.
The interactive character of these exhibitions is the main factor that differentiates it from a classic exhibition on historical themes. The children will be able to enter a pyramid, they will be able to sit on the pharaoh's throne, they will be able to open a sarcophagus or create their own amulets according to the model of the ancient ones, discovering at every step the meaning of the things they touch.
The secrets of Ancient Egypt will be held April 15 - June 12, at the Weavers' Bastion (George Cosbuc Street No. 9), Brasov being the sixth city hosting the project, after Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Iasi, Timisoara and Sibiu where the exhibition is currently open, and can be visited until April 10th. The tickets will be available soon on www.eventim.ro and in the affiliated networks, following that starting with April 15, with the official opening, they can be purchased directly from the entrance to the exhibition. Tickets will be available at different prices, as follows:
- Ticket for children under 14 - 20 lei
- Adult ticket - 30 lei
- Family ticket (3 persons) - 60 lei
- Family ticket (4 persons) - 80 lei
- Group package (minimum 20 children) - 15 lei / child (group attendants enter free)
For groups larger than 10 persons, an appointment is required at the telephone number: 0725.040.515.
The visitation program will be daily, between the hours 09:00-17:00 (except Monday), the exhibition providing visitors with a permanent collective of people who will take care of the smooth running of all activities.
Supported by the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt, the exhibition dedicated to the Secrets of Ancient Egypt is organized in Brasov in partnership with the County History Museum and promises a real interactive foray into the history of one of the most interesting periods of humanity: the time of the pharaohs and the pyramids.
More details about the Brasov edition will be made public on the website www.historyhackers.ro and on the official Facebook page of the project: www.facebook.com/HistoryHackers.ro.
