The woman tells how the aggressor grabbed her, put her hand to her mouth so she couldn't scream, raped her and then disappeared.
As a result of this rape, Mentwabe Dawit became pregnant and tried to keep this task a secret until she was too visible.
The woman was born at home and the girl was baptized Yemsrach, name in Amharic, meaning "good news".
Some time after the baby came into the world, her mother realized that she did not have the necessary opportunities to raise a baby.
Mentwabe Dawit, states that shortly the little girl started to suffer from malnutrition and no longer had the power to cry.
Very scared and filled with despair, the woman decided to run away, launching the baby in the care of her mother, who decided to adopt the baby.
Mentwabe Dawit said he had no problem asking for his daughter back. She says about Zahara that she is very lucky to be adopted by such a wonderful family.
